First off, I use the Mark 12 chain axe.. I put the mark 4 as default but I personally use the Mark 12.. the reason the Mark 4 is default is because it's the easy version.. you push, and swing swing for horde clear.. it's very strong.. so it's the default for the average user.. I personally run the 12 because I have no problem with barrage casting+relentless combo'ing for horde clear and when it comes right down to it.. the mark 12 has superiour armour clear and debuff potential.. you can rev up stun power attack a crusher and then bolt them down.. but it takes proper timing.. also the mark 12 has the really nice rev up, push attack combo as well for defensive debuffing.

Also a flex node is vulnerable minds.. personally with the mark 12 or mark 4(sometimes I use it.. it's really nice.. like if i'm in the mood to put out more numbers.. i'll switch to the 4..).. but yeah.. with either you can go either vulnerable minds with the mark 4 or you can go charged strike with the mark 12.. which is really awesome.. one rev up will apply max shock dot + bleed. which is amazing vs armour.. they will also be fully debuffed in one rev up, which is amazing.. but if you're running the mark 4.. just go vulnerable minds.. it makes is so you can just barrage cast monsters down really fast..

The chainaxe combined with all the movetech, stam and block will make this defensible enough to keep you in the game without face planting.. you will have to rely on the defensive ablities to compensate for chainaxe lacking mobility. But it's enough I have found. This is a team build that is very good if played right at armour picking. You quickly debuff most targets with pushes and swipes and then start bolting. for Crushers picking on the group. Rev up attack them so they stay debuffed and then shit on them with surge staff combo casting.. you can kill armour VERY fast this way.
