The main attraction here is the lasgun, you can use it to deal with ranged enemies that are obnoxious like dreg gunners or shotgunners and snipers. If you hit the weak spots, I've been able to kill mutants with 2-3 shots, snipers and trappers in one, and all the common dreg in 1 shots. The only stopgap with this build is carapaced enemies like maulers and crushers, those you should deal with via your power sword, or maybe switch the sword with a hammer, but the hammer will not work well with wave clearing. Name of the game is consistency, because of the Efficiency perk, you get basically 112 shots with 864 in spare. I made this for Expeditions and Malestrom (No Ammo), but I'd imagine this will work up until Havoc 30, because 30+ just spams the hell out of you with carapace enemies, then the hammer should work. But I don't encounter many common dreg enemies enough to warrant the lasgun. So Havoc 30+ should be its own build, which I feel like there's already enough Havoc 40 Hammer/Boltgun zealot builds to wave a stick at already.
