DAKKA DAKKA — The Ogryn Gunlugger
Difficulty: Auric / Damnation
Role: Horde Clear, Boss Destroyer, Close Range Suppression

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

OVERVIEW

More bullets solves most problems. More bullets on fire solves everything else.

This build turns your Ogryn into a walking suppression platform that melts bosses, erases hordes, and burns everything within range to a crisp. Stay inside Point Blank Barrage range at all times, maintain burn stacks, and only reach for the pickaxe when something armored needs its skull rearranged up close.

Near-permanent burn uptime, compounding close range damage buffs, and a melee weapon that covers your one weakness. Simple, brutal, effective.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

CORE TALENT CHAIN

Point Blank Barrage → Bullet Bravado → Light 'Em Up

Point Blank Barrage — The engine of the build. Grants a damage bonus at close range, which as an Ogryn is where you live anyway. Essentially free uptime.

Bullet Bravado — Toughness regeneration on ranged kills. Keeps you in the fight without needing to rely on your team for sustain.

Light 'Em Up — Ranged attacks apply 4 burn stacks per hit while Point Blank Barrage is active, up to a maximum of 16 stacks. At cap that is 720 damage ticking on every target. This is the build's damage backbone.

WHY LIGHT 'EM UP OVER RENDING:
A flat 15% rending only benefits your bullets. At near-permanent burn cap, the DoT ticks affect everything alive in front of you simultaneously. Against bosses and monstrosities the burn sustains damage between mag dumps. Do not swap this node.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

WEAPONS

RANGED — Achlys Mk VII Twin-Linked Heavy Stubber (Transcendant)
Perks: +25% Damage vs Unyielding, +25% Damage vs Flak
Blessings: Deathspitter IV, Fire Frenzy IV

The primary damage tool. Handles hordes, bosses, monstrosities, and Flak elites. The rapid fire rate hits burn cap almost instantly and maintains it effortlessly. Deathspitter and Fire Frenzy both proc from close range kills — since PBB keeps you in close range permanently, both are essentially always stacking simultaneously. At max stacks you are hitting noticeably harder on every subsequent bullet.

MELEE — Karsolas Mk II Delver's Pickaxe (Transcendant)
Perks: +25% Damage vs Flak, +25% Damage vs Carapace Armoured Enemies
Blessings: Slaughterer IV, Headtaker IV

Your answer to Crushers and Maulers, and a serious horde clear tool on top. The +25% Carapace perk directly addresses the one gap in your stubber's coverage. Slaughterer stacks on kills and Headtaker stacks on any hit — both ramp fast and compound into heavy attacks that land extremely hard on armored targets. The wide cleave also regenerates toughness on every swing through a group, giving you passive sustain the stubber cannot provide.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

ENEMY PRIORITY

Hordes — Stubber into the crowd. Burn stacks do the rest. Switch to pickaxe if they get too close and use the cleave to sustain toughness.

Bosses / Monstrosities — Sustained stubber fire. Unyielding perk active. Burn stacks tick constantly. Stay close, keep shooting, do not stop.

Flak Elites — Stubber or pickaxe. Both weapons have Flak damage perks so either tool works.

Crushers / Maulers — Pickaxe. Use the pull special attack to stagger, pause to let the animation finish, then charge a heavy. With Headtaker stacked and +25% Carapace the hit lands like a freight servitor. See combo section below.

Specials — Prioritise with stubber. Burn stacks make short work of anything that is not heavily armoured.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

CRUSHER PROTOCOL — PICKAXE COMBO

The pull combo has a timing window that takes a few runs to internalise. Do not rush it.

Step 1 — Pull special attack. Staggers the Crusher and applies the debuff.
Step 2 — Pause. Let the pull animation complete fully. The stagger window is longer than it looks.
Step 3 — Charge the heavy attack. It will hit significantly harder than any light spam.

Common mistake: inputting the heavy too early after the pull. The animation needs to finish or the heavy will feel sluggish and underpowered. Trust the pause.

Practice tip: run a lower intensity mission and specifically drill the pull timing on every Crusher you find. Once the muscle memory is there it becomes instinctive and Crushers stop feeling threatening.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

PLAYSTYLE SUMMARY

Stay close. Always. Point Blank Barrage is your engine and everything in this build flows from it. The stubber is your primary tool for 55-60% of combat. The pickaxe covers the gaps — armored elites and moments when you need toughness sustain from cleave hits.

Do not swap Light 'Em Up for rending. Do not try to play at range. Do not stop shooting.
