PLAYSTYLE
- Shoot things with your Branx Mk IV Arc Rifle until you empty the clip! Don't reload! Gunsmith and Ammunition-Restoration Pod Will do it for you — the latter ensures that you will rarely need to pick up ammo. Use the rifle to thin out hordes with zap-zap. Likewise use it to kill any ranged threats, such as the ghoulish Scab Sniper
- Swap to your Branx Mk III Arc Maul when your rifle needs time to reload or if you see Scab Mauler / Crusher — bonk them on the head with a charged attack. (Charge, Charge, Block / Reset, allows you to keep bonking them on the head!) Activate the maul and spam light attacks on hordes. You can use push attacks too, if you like. Voltagheist Overload and Enhanced Voltaic Arcs will help you shred the disgusting meat-bags.
- Remember to double-tag high priority or high defence enemies (such as crushers and bosses) to have your Artificer Servo-Skull start lighting them up. Yes, Sienna-skull! More fire, more flames!
- No grenades? No problem! Whilst Arc Grenades are very powerful, there's no shortage of powerful grenades in Darktide — but nobody has anything close to Medicae Servo-Skull this will allow you to effortlessly and safely revive your team.
- Voltaic Emitter Serves two main goals: 1) Use it to give yourself breathing room in a horde or against a crowd of vile Pox Hound / Ragers. 2) Using Voltaic Overcharge as emergency Toughness regeneration (You can swap it for Voltaic Restoration if you want to restore less for yourself, but restore it for nearby allies too)
DEFENCE
- Ablative Wards Is a big help on higher difficulties — the 1 Corruption / 20s is effectively nothing, and can be negated entirely by Beacon of Purity for example. On lower difficulties, you can remove it along with Electro-Strike Conduit and put the points elsewhere.
- Galvanized Coating costs a mere 5% ability charge when struck, making it well worth it, I think. But this is definitely a talent you could move elsewhere if you really wanted something else / never get hit.
- Augmented Power-Cycle can be swapped for Reactor Coil Recharge — one will restore more charge during combat, but the other is always active and doesn't require head-shot kills.
