Description
TACAXE CHORUS ZEALOT - Support Zealot build for H40
TLDR :
A very strong frontliner / support build for Havoc 40. The goal is to be a good frontliner for your team and control the masses with the strongest ultimate in the game: Chorus of Spiritual Fortitude. To be able to use it a lot more, we want to proc Invocation of Death as much as we can. The rest of the build is designed around this philosophy, with strong potential at melee range.

MELEE :
Atrox Mk VII Tactical Axe is a top-tier weapon for our strategy. Good damage, huge attack speed, easy combos, great finesse modifier, so crits hurt a lot.
- Mobility is the dump stat, simply because it's less important than all the other stats.
- +Flak (since it's the most common armor type you'll deal with in hordes and helps killing Captains & Twins) & +Carapace (to help you kill those nasty Crushers). +Unyielding is a good option for bosses, but I prefer to focus on the troops first. +5% Crit Chance is overkill to me.
- There are a lot of good choices for Blessings. Up to you to choose what you prefer!
- Shred is very good to almost guarantee crits, and the attack speed allows us to stack it very fast.
- Headtaker / Decimator to snowball in hordes. Headtaker is easier to maintain, Decimator allows for a better reward but is the greedier option.
- Relentless Strikes is better if you really want to focus on the tankier units & bosses.
- Brutal Momentum for hordes & better clearing.
- You can totally spam Light Attacks all the time on this weapon and it will do its job. If you want to really optimize, here are some tips (L = Light Attack / H = Heavy Attack / PA = Push Attack / S = Special) :
- Horde clear: H → L → Repeat.
- Heavier targets: Mix of L / PA or just spam L.
- Use S to cancel Dreg Rager & Scab Rager in their combos.

RANGED :
Godwyn-Branx Mk VI Bolt Pistol is a very good tool to snipe priority threats and stagger close-range targets.
- Mobility is the dump stat. Stability is a little too important to allow for quick double-taps on priority targets.
- +Flak to help kill all the gunners. +Maniac to deal with Dreg Rager (avoid dealing with them in melee, they will proc your Until Death too easily).
- Puncture allows you to stack bleed on the enemies to kill them with the DoT (to save some ammo) or prepare bigger threats for Scourge.
- Lethal Proximity for the huge stagger potential at close range. Don't hesitate to quickly pull this weapon out to stagger multiple enemies and create space for your allies.
- Surgical is takeable, but I find it way more efficient on a Veteran (which has a lot of perks increasing its potential) and suboptimal on a Zealot.

BLITZ :
Any Blitz is good in this build, so it's up to you. Some advice :
- Blades of Faith is clearly the hardest Blitz to use, but it's insane if you use it correctly. It allows you to snipe Gunners / Scab Sniper quickly in the middle of a tense fight & not pick up any grenade box for your teammates. If you're really good, there are some good techs to use with this Blitz too.
- Stunstorm Grenade & Immolation Grenade for better control & a higher chance to clutch in hard situations. I prefer the second one, just because we lack trash clearing in this build & it helps killing Plague Ogryn / Chaos Spawn / Beast of Nurgle.
⚠️ Important: It's preferable to have only 1 grenade consumer in the team (except for the classes that can create them, like Veteran or Hive Scum's Blackout grenade). For example, if you play with a Hive Scum that has Boom Bringer or Chem Grenade, it's better to play with Blades of Faith to let him pick up every grenade box on the map.

CURIOS :
- Extremely simple setup, with triple +Toughness for the tankiness and to get more value out of Enemies Within, Enemies Without / Second Wind / Stalwart.
- Triple +Combat Ability Regeneration should be a must for almost every build, especially with the Chorus of Spiritual Fortitude (longest cooldown, so you get more value out of +Combat Ability Regeneration).
- Since the buff to +Revive Speed (basically increasing your speed for all actions helping your teammates) and your job as a frontliner / tank / support, this stat has been at the center of so many clutches. Combined with Providence, you help your teammates incredibly fast and become a clutch machine.
- No shield, frontliner. Gunners will be your main threats, so I went with the triple +Gunner Resistance.
Some changes you can make depending on your playstyle & skill:
- Change one curio to +Health (not recommended if you don't play a full +Health build with Bleed for the Emperor & Restoring Faith).
- Change one of the +Gunner Resistance to anything you'd prefer.

TALENTS & GAMEPLAY / GAMEPLAN :
- TANKING & FRONTLINING: You can absorb a lot of damage before going down thanks to Good Balance, Enduring Faith & Stalwart.
- TOUGHNESS REGENERATION: Your sustain sources are based on the best available for Zealot: Enemies Within, Enemies Without, Second Wind & Stalwart.
- QUICK SNIPING: Use your Godwyn-Branx Mk VI Bolt Pistol to quickly snipe Gunners & important targets (Scab Sniper, Dreg Tox Bomber, Scab Bomber, etc).
- SPACE CONTROL / CLUTCH FACTOR: Chorus of Spiritual Fortitude is probably the best ability in the game (with Voice of Command). Its capability to create space, give your team time to stack up DoT / get out of a dire situation, give Golden Toughness (which is broken in so many ways, go check the video below) and so many more things is so important. You want to have that ability at all times & learn how to use it correctly. Providence & all the +Revive Speed on your Curios make you revive teammates in record times. Until Death & Holy Revenant allow for insane moves that other classes couldn't afford to do (don't hesitate to play aggressively when you have it off cooldown and chill while it is).
- MELEE MONSTER: While you're a support, you can clearly dish out insane damage at melee range, especially to Bosses / Captains / Twins (Disdain, Purge the Unclean, Faithful Frenzy, Sustained Assault, Against the Odds, Abolish Blasphemers, Ecclesiarch's Call, Thy Wrath be Swift).
- PERMA CRIT: You will crit almost all the time (thanks to Scourge, Blazing Piety & Righteous Warrior). Critting with this build is insane; not only will your attacks deal way more damage (Atrox Mk VII Tactical Axe having a huge Finesse modifier & Critical Bonus + Duellist), it will also proc Invocation of Death (which is the biggest source of +Ability Cooldown Regeneration the Zealot has) to spam the Chorus of Spiritual Fortitude, debuff the enemies (Scourge & Blinded by Blood combo) and make you way tankier (Enduring Faith).
- SUPPORTING THE TEAM: Beacon of Purity & Infectious Zeal are so good at giving a boost to the team. You can switch your Aura to Benediction too, depending on your preferences.
