High damage and survivability.
Flamethrower feels tempting to take advantage of the new Purifying Hatred perk, but stunstorms are great for reviving people and emergency situations. Flamethrower's role of close/mid range of mixed horde clear is also pretty much the same as heavy eviscerator, so you would have redundancy in that role in addition to relying on knives as your main way of dealing with snipers and other specials out of reach. Although tempting and arguably cooler, I think having more utility and ranged capabilities outweighs close range mixed horde redundancies with neutered range and mobility.
The Tigrus Mk III Heavy Eviscerator is the less used one, but is arguably better in terms of stats. It is my favorite melee. The pattern is:
Block push attack > heavy > light > light
And that repeats.
For single target, you can do:
light spam OR light 1 > heavy 2 OR use special attack with anything.
The attack chain heavily relying on push attacks is why I use Punish Impeity and No Respite. Holy Tools is temping however for the heavy eviscerator. If stamina management feels fine, I might swap No Respite or Punish Impeity for Holy Tools.
The presence of all the DOTs such as bleed and fire might better compliment the new Krourk Mk VII Crusher . DOTs don't help much if the enemy gets instantly one or two-shotted anyways. A high stagger weapon might be better because it provides way more safety, but doesn't lose out on damage anymore because the DOTs safely provide that damage to the enemies that can't fight back from the ground anyways.
