Description
A somewhat traditional Skitarii Ranger build suitable for Damnation and Auric.
The default firing speed on the Galvanic Rifle is just slow enough to trigger Opening Salvo on every shot it makes, although this becomes very inconsistent when under the effects of celerity stims or certain Hive Scum stim pack buffs. You'll have plenty of capacitance charges and regeneration to able to make liberal use of Enhanced Combat Doctrines whenever you need to clear hordes of elites or focus fire on tougher enemies. Noospheric Command also benefits greatly from the spare capacitance charges when focusing on ranged fire, tracking very fast or distant enemies or when you're just stuck in melee and can't use Enhanced Combat Doctrines anyway.
The Arc Maul is a solid and reliable crowd controlling weapon for when you inevitably get swarmed by groaners/poxwalkers. It's the traditional melee weapon of Skitarii Rangers but any melee weapon you're comfortable with will do.
Curios that boost toughness are a safe pick for any build, with extra ability regeneration for capacitance recharge and damage resistance to gunners (which also affect shotgunners and reapers). In my experience gunners are the most dangerous enemies (next to maulers) for any strike team to deal with so they will be your priority targets.
Given the choice between Purgator and Medicae Servo Skulls, I prefer Medicae. Hordes are rarely a problem to a competent team and it's always good to have free and uninterruptible ranged revives in case of emergencies. This also negates the need to have ally revive speed buffs on your curios.
