> OVERVIEW
After experimenting with a few different set-ups in Havoc 40 missions, this is ultimately what I've landed on. Unstoppable Force combined with Shock & Awe let's you cleave through things like Rot Armor packs, Moebian 21st hordes, ragers packs, shotgunners, basically everything (Not bulwark shields though because they're bullshit).
This is for mainly Havoc missions where the increase in hit mass and different modifiers actually have an impact on how much of the horde you can cleave through. In Aurics or below, you could probably get away with replacing Shock and Awe with something different; that will be talked about in the blessings section.
> CRUNCHER
You're not meant to fully wind up with this set up, but you are still going to be heavy-spamming. The main issue I've had with the Krourk Mk IIa Cruncher thus far is that wanting to fully wind up to make use of the in-built thrust and max Crunch! stacks means that you'll be either spending all of you dodge during the wind up or you'll take chip damage from time to time. You mainly let it rip either once you see the heavy animation start or you get a stack of crunch for just a little bit extra damage and impact. This way, you'll be maximizing the amount that you swing, meaning you're utilizing Shock & Awe more, meaning the horde is continuously getting staggered and bleed stacks.
PERKS
I run Flak + Carapace. However, if you find that you're the one mainly bossing on the team, then run Unyielding + Carapace.
BLESSINGS
"Isn't using Shock & Awe alongside Unstoppable Force a little redundant?" Not at all! In fact, they work SO WELL TOGETHER. You'll want Unstoppable Force to cleave through armor by default, even on the smallest amount of charge, you'll still go through SOME armor. But, that's all we care about, going through armor at all. Pair that with the decrease in hit mass and you'll get results similar to ignoring hit mass. If you find yourself getting stuck in an armor though, you can always charge up just a bit more. We're all about options here, fellas. No need to fully commit to a full charge every single time.
For anything outside of Havocs, you could most likely replace Shock and Awe with a few different blessings depending on what you like:
> RANGED OPTIONS
Really, you can use pretty much any ranged weapon that you like. I just put the Lorenz Mk VI Rumbler up top because I doubt the majority of people viewing this will be reading all of this down here and just want the build. I personally have been liking the Lorenz Mk VII Thugshot or Achlys Mk II Heavy Stubber as I need to dispatch some specials very quickly at times. Blastoom Mk III Grenadier Gauntlet is also a great choice, I just use it in too many of my builds and want something different.
Throwing it in here, but Blitz are to your liking. I swap between Big Friendly Rock and Frag Bomb when the team comp calls for it.
> CURIOS
I like running 5% Toughness. Gunner Resist is fine, too, on Ogryn.
> SKILL TREE
You have roughly 3 flex points to play with. Focused Fighter , Can't Hit Me...Again , and Crunch! .
- Crunch! is a flex point?? Yeah, since you're not fully charging your heavies all the time anymore, you rarely get use out of the node. However, I still run it for the times I do want to fully charge my heavy: Bossing, walking up to a crusher with the overhead going, needing to charge up my heavy for a little bit longer, etc. There's use cases for it, so I still stick with it.
- The other two are just damage mitigation nodes that I like to run, but they can definitely go elsewhere.
- I personally do not like Furious . Using the Uptime mod and playing through a handful of games with it on, even with this setup, my average stacks were 2 - 3. But, it's extra damage regardless. So, it's certainly a viable option.
Below are some demonstration videos to show off Shock & Awe a little bit. They were recorded by my good friend Tdopz.

I'll add in a gameplay video once I capture more footage with this build to compile together a showcase rather than one entire, unedited gameplay footage. Or you can try out this build and determine for yourself!
