Fast-firing Recon Lasgun Veteran built around high crit uptime, excellent ammo efficiency and sustained ranged damage, while still bringing strong team utility through Focus Target.

The Accatran Mk XII Recon Lasgun is the centre of the build. Headhunter rewards consistent weakspot hits with extra crit chance, while the +5% ranged crit perk and Deadshot push crit frequency even further when ADS. This works particularly well with Shock Trooper, as critical hits with Las-weapons consume no ammo — allowing the Recon to fire for much longer than its fire rate would normally suggest.

Deadshot drains stamina rapidly during sustained fire, so it isn’t something you need active permanently. Use it when you want the extra crit chance and accuracy, then allow stamina to recover between engagements.

Dumdum provides immediate close-range damage rather than relying on damage-over-time effects. The Recon stacks it extremely quickly, making it excellent when enemies push into medium/close range.

Onslaught is one of the key talents. The Recon’s rate of fire lets it rapidly build Brittleness on a single target, reaching up to 40% Brittleness. This massively improves performance against armoured targets and also makes them easier for the rest of the team to kill.

Focus Target! provides the other major damage multiplier. Tag priority enemies before opening fire — particularly Crushers, Maulers, Reapers, bosses and dangerous specialists. Fully built Focus stacks significantly increase the damage that target receives, while the Focus Target upgrades provide additional team damage once marked enemies are killed.

The build therefore has a simple loop:

Tag priority target → ADS → aim for weakspots → build Headhunter crit → free shots through Shock Trooper → rapidly stack Brittleness → melt target.

The Power Falchion covers the Recon’s main weakness: getting surrounded. Wrath rapidly increases cleave during sustained melee, while Cranial Grounding rewards weakspot hits and helps manage heat. It isn’t intended to replace the Recon as your primary damage source — pull it out when enemies get on top of you, clear space, then get back to shooting.

Overall this is an aggressive all-round Recon setup with strong ammo economy, excellent sustained fire, good anti-armour capability and useful team damage amplification. It rewards improving your weakspot accuracy without being completely dependent on headshots to function.
