Description

Divider

a primary spam staff build that competes heavily with inferno staff damage if played right :) plays as a primarily ranged focused build sitting near the back of the team sniping disablers/specials from a far before they hit the frontliners. would highly recommend the mod 'full auto' on nexus mods if you play this often as the APM is pretty high so you may end up with aching hands which aint good as we are here to blast heretics not destroy ourselves :')

Weapons

Melee

Catachan Mk III Combat Blade:

  • Dump stat Damage or Mobility. I dump damage as the extra speed is nice seeing as we don't fight with this often
  • Perks Carapace/Unyielding for ogryns and bosses. could also go for +stamina and/or +block efficiency as these synergize well with Kinetic Deflection. You could also run +critical hit chance as well to proc Empathic Evasion easier in melee however do bare in mind the combat blade comes with innately high crit chance already.
  • Blessings we take Riposte and Flesh Tearer. riposte helps fuel crits keeping us pumping and flesh tearer allows us to apply bleeds to bosses to help supplement our otherwise lacking boss dps. you don't need to bleed a boss often but is excellent to have the option should you be forced into a solo situation.

Melee Alternatives:

  1. Illisi Mk V Blaze Force Sword / Deimos Mk IV Blaze Force Sword
    • Strong melee support weapon so naturally will be good here too. id suggest dumping warp resistance or mobility.
    • Perks same as the combat knife
    • Blessings Deflector and Riposte. we don't need the ranged block from deflector however the block cost reduction is amazing as that synergizes well with the Kinetic Deflection and can allow you to tank a ton of stuff you otherwise shouldn't be able to whilst the team peels them off you or you work your way out of the mess.
  2. Maccabian Mk IV Duelling Sword
    • Strong melee dps weapon and comes packing good mobility albeit not as good as my beloved shank ;)
    • Perks ... you guessed it same as before :D
    • Blessings Riposte and Thrust / Precognition as this will help the most with orgyns and bosses where the staff falls short.
    • Note the DS comes with a special action parry attack which can allow you to block attacks and counterattack in one swift move letting you keep the offensive pressure up whilst being defensive. works on bosses, maulers, ogryns anything melee really :) really good when your liability of a team gets punted off the map by a plagryn :P
  3. Last but not least whatever's comfortable for you :D

Ranged

Nomanus Mk VI Electrokinetic Force Staff

  • Dump stat Quell Speed as we need the other 4 stats maxed as they contribute to our damage/resource costs
  • Perks Flak/Critical hit chance. You could drop crit chance for unyielding but i like more crits as they count twice and come with more damage than a regular shot so your often pumping damage like mad as is
  • Blessings Surge for the crit chance and double hits, surge double hit does not proc on the EK staffs alt fire however the increased crit chance remains. Warp Nexus as we edge at high peril so a free 20% crit chance to add to the staffs high crit chance from stats means we proc surge stupidly often ;)

Alternatives?

  • No alternatives really as none of the other staffs come with as high a crit chance sadly.

Curios

  • We take triple toughness curios though you could go 2x toughness and then 1x health/stamina its really your own choice. health can be nice to make those threatening chip damage hits a bit less poo your pants scary :P
  • Next up is triple combat ability regeneration. warpfire accounts for 10-30% of our damage over a game and the soulblaze kills help us stack up various other buffs so having a venting shriek more often is rather handy ;)
  • Triple revive speed as we are good little varlets and help our buddies. definently not just so we can use them as meat shields :P
  • Finally i take triple stamina regen but you could go for anything really as we don't need gunner resistance due to Empathic Evasion and bum sliding around with our fast af shank ;) +health/toughness could be good shouts :)

Talents

* Omitted the required nodes of the tree.

  1. Quietude - There's often a debate between Quietude and Soulstealer but i prefer quietude as its always active because we constantly generate and quell peril whilst soulstealer only activates on your warp kills which are staff and warpfire kills meaning when your playing defensively your toughness is far harder to regenerate whilst with quietude your able to block and due to Kinetic Deflection you'll be gaining peril and therefore toughness ;)
  2. Perilous Combustion - Stupidly strong talent and very easy for us to proc seeing as we often have the first move advantage compared to our team as we engage from range so getting those kills isn't hard and then it just snowballs sooo hard.
  3. Mettle - we constantly crit so bonus toughness regen and movespeed :O what's not to love ;) also leads into .....
  4. Perfect Timing - again we constantly crit so more damage the better especially as our critical hits count as 2 hits and have a bonus damage multiplier by nature of being a crit hit
  5. Brain Rupture - Helps deal with bosses when our team doesn't need us battling the horde and can chunk an ogryn before your or the team get in range of them :)
  6. Kinetic Flayer - Very strong passive talent not much more to say as nuking one dude every 12s is cool ;)
  7. Prescience - Bonus crit chance should be self explanatory. if another ticking timebomb is on your team using this aura then swap to Seer's Presence
  8. Anticipation - Increased dodge is nice but mostly a tax node to go into ....
  9. Empathic Evasion - We constantly crit and have a high rate of fire so when engaging at range this will be up permanently. even in melee with the combat knife it has superb uptime.
  10. Just a Dream - Very good defensive node but also our chosen tax node to go into a number of useful bonuses. hardly a tax tbh :P
  11. Souldrinker - Toughness regen is nice but we care for that crit chance increase and I'm now probably sounding like a broken record :P
  12. Channeled Force  - Whilst we are a primary spam blaster our alt fire is still excellent for the CC as it'll open up bulwarks allowing easy headpats with your booger balls and can stagger a whole host of nasty peeps so getting bonus damage on it and our primary attack just for using it is wicked :D
  13. Empyric Shock  - More damage means voices in our heads are happier :)
  14. Venting Shriek  + Becalming Eruption + Creeping Flames  - Venting shrek is wicked as it gives us a horde clear option to combine with our brilliant single target dps ;) it'll quell 50% of your peril and can be used whilst overloading to save you from looking a fool infront of your beloved :D perill cost reduction is wicked for more spam before quells but the real oomph comes from Creeping Flames when venting is used at 86% perill or more as itll apply 6 stacks of soulblaze to everyone in front of you, even through walls so you can save the speed running zealot who got dogged ;) This soulblaze allows us to proc several other talents notably Souldrinker, In Fire Reborn and can contribute to the snowballing of warpfire with Perilous Combustion
  15. Focused Warp  + Warp Rider  + Vulnerable Minds  - Bonus damage pretty simple why we want that :P
  16. Kinetic Deflection  - Allows us to use our berill as blocking stamina giving us alot of survivability and pairs well with Venting Shriek to keep us alive in sticky situations whilst still dealing damage.
  17. Empyric Resolve  - WARNING this talent makes you squishier!! do not take this if your not a confident player as you do better for your team whilst alive than down or worse waiting for a respawn. if your unconfident then take Penetration of the Soul but Empyric Resolve cuts our perill costs massively allowing more spam per match and therefore more damage. toughness replenishment is a modifier that increases/decreases the amount of toughness regenerated from your toughness regen talents/blessings. It does not interact with your standard coherency toughness regeneration however but taking this does hinder the effectiveness of our other toughness talents.
  18. Warp Siphon  + Warp Battery  - Increased base damage (so stronger melee, ranged and DoT damage) and cooldown reduction :O we'd be mad to not take it ;)
  19. In Fire Reborn  - Makes getting warp charges very easy even in a defensive state
  20. Inner Tranquility  - More peril cost reductions as you guessed it mo spam! :P
