With the improvements to the shield, you can be both a tank and deal some high damage to entire hordes with heavy attacks. We're taking charge over the taunt as the shield has such a wide push arc that you don't need to AoE everything around you. The Attention Seeker perk combined with the shield at the moment is one of the best stop ranged enemies too, as most of them will pull out melee and run at you instead of shooting your buddies. That's something the taunt ult can't do!

Your game plan is walking around with your ranged weapon out, picking off specials and elites until something dares to approach you. Then out comes the shield and light 1 heavy 1 all day. The light attack with the shield and mace seems to be so overturned that it will knock a rager over in one hit, making it a very quick crowd control swing.

We only block and push if there are elites going after the lil'uns or if there are ranged around. The only time you should use the shield stance is if there are 7 gunners mowing you down or you've accidentally sat on a demon host. You hit like a truck, you don't need to sit there and hold the line, move the line up, be the line, light 1 heavy 1 push.

This is where the charge ult saves us, as it always has, with the toughness regen and bleed its a very easy "oooh this ain't good" button to press when a dozen crushes come strolling up. With the extra damage we have vs Ogryns at the top, I find the rumbler to be the best to pair with it. Charge to knock everything over, rumbler the armored guys, shield cleanup.

The most important thing you can do as an ogryn is make sure you are safe before protecting anyone else, that's why we are picking box of nades to throw at our downed friends, charge in to pick them up while all the explosions can knock over or kill the horde or disablers around them.

Enjoy your rashions lads.
