Run around and bonk people, keep your friends safe by putting bad men on the ground.

I prefer the Blazing Piety crits with the Indignatus Mk IVe Crusher , over Martyrdom or Inexorable Judgement , because it doesn't need that much attack speed, while it does have decent crit damage increase.

E: Update added a lot more tankiness while waist deep in heretics with Stalwart , Enemies Within, Enemies Without , Prime Target and help your team with Shield of Contempt. Major quality of life upgrades for Indignatus Mk IVe Crusher with Punish Impiety (push attack is amazing for all purposes), No Respite to keep those push attacks going, Unfaltering to dance like a butterfly while swinging and Against the Odds gives neat cleave in moshpits. Also switched gun to Godwyn-Branx Mk VI Bolt Pistol since the explosion with Lethal Proximity gives quite a big area stagger, handy ranged crowd control tool.

Indignatus Mk IVe Crusher is wonderful and allows Zealot a lot more control of the field, you just have to learn the combos for it. Light attack spam will keep most everything on the ground but not do much damage.

I tested setup after Loaded and Unlocked, ended up with Unyielding and Elite damage for easy Bulwark removal and general usability, didn't find any other useful breakpoints. Slaughterer was a great overall addition and Skullcrusher is still excellent since everything non-Ogryn will be off their feet.

  • Heavy attacks have longer reach.
  • Push Attack is very good for making space, but don't spam it, instead make space and move to the combo you need.
  • Special is crowd control only, don't spam, only use when you want an aoe blast stagger. It's much more effective on heavy strikes than light. Good use is f.e. activate special -> fury of fateful into pack of elites -> charge heavy 1 into priority = blasts the pack on their arses while you get to finish the stunned prio.

Combos:

  • H1 -> L2 overhead slams, high dps single target
  • L1 -> H2 sweeping strikes, crowd control, the heavy strike has bigger sweep area and does more damage.
  • If in trouble and don't have time to think; heavy spam works pretty well for a continuous clear -> bonk priority -> clear -> bonk routine.
  • Bulwark Can Opener: Special -> light (blast knocks shield back) -> light -> heavy -> light = dead.
  • Crusher, Mauler & Reaver Smacker: Special -> H1 -> L2 -> H1 & repeat. Kills Reavers fast, Maulers rather quick. Crushers are hard to kill with the Crusher, hehe, but this way you control them and have the best dps so it's not a problem (Or just charge them with Fury of the Faithful for quick kill.).
