12-24% Rending on Enemy Weak Spot Hit for 3.5s. Stacks 5 times.
This weapon Blocks both Melee and Ranged attacks. Additionally, Block Cost is reduced by 22.5-30%.
5-8% Strength for every 10% of magazine spent during continuous fire. Stacks 5 times.
Gain between 3.5-5% and 14-20% Critical Chance based on current level of peril.
Scrier's gaze (SG) with inferno (formerly purgatus) staff works great with all the peril reduction psyker has access to now, along with the safety net of Warp Unbound
Scrier's Gaze:
- in aurics, you can keep up SG with its full 30 stacks for ages. This is a straight 40% damage boost.
- 20% crit from SG crit gives you massive toughness regen from mettle, gives ranged immunity from empathic evasion, and since inferno staff applies two burn stacks on crit, it makes you build stacks faster too
- with psykinetic's aura and warp charges, SG cooldown will usually be finished as soon as your last SG ends, so it's nearly always running
Warp Siphon:
- the CDR means SG is literally almost always going
- peril reduction makes keeping SG up easier
- +24% base damage (6 charges) applies to both the direct and DOT damage from inferno
- This is also the only keystone that really does anything for inferno staff
Staff blessings:
- blaze away: stacks very quickly and can be kept running with left click spam. Besides the large damage bonus, the %strength (formerly power) also improves the already-potent stagger on inferno
- nexus: crit mostly just helps with survivability. If you feel comfortable keeping SG going, you should be fine swapping this for another blessing (maybe swapping a perk for +5% crit chance too)
Melee: You can run anything that will handle crushers (deimos, mkIV duelling sword, or knife). I prefer deimos, as the deflector block is very useful on approach to distant gunners, and the massive stagger on heavy 2 makes controlling packs of crushers super easy.
