5-8% toughness on Chained Hit.
Hitting at least 3 enemies with an attack, restores 12-15% toughness.
Hitting an enemy with the special attack gives them 10-16 stacks of 2.5% Brittleness. Debuff lasts for 5 seconds and can have a maximum of 16 stacks.
5-8% Strength for every 10% of magazine spent during continuous fire. Stacks 5 times.
Overview:I've clicked up around 500 hours in Darktide now and I consider myself a pretty casual player. I probably only play a few times a week and then only a couple of missions at any one sitting. So I guess, I am aiming these types of guides at the casual player who flip-flops between levels of hardness depending on there mood and needs. Some nights I want a hard challenge so Auric Damnation comes out, other nights I just want to chill and murder heretics so I'll sit in Malice.
The rework for the weapon crafting has made tweaking your toys SO MUCH BETTER!!
Weapons:
Krourk Mark IV CleaverPerks:
- Flak Armour, Carpace Armour/Maniacs are my preferred perks. This easily covers most of the enemies in the game.
Blessings:
Confident Strike and Momentum. These two perks pretty much let me get stuck into anything, constantly refilling my toughness bar.
Foe-Render Mark V Ripper GunPerks:Blessings:
Curios:
2x Toughness and 1x Health.
I like this set-up on the Ogryn as the Health Curio can net you a +26% HP bonus, which is pretty big considering the Big Man's already large HP pool. This gives me a bit more of a health buffer when my toughness gets broken (and it often will on harder levels). The 2 Toughness Curios should be a pretty standard add-on for any Ogryn build. Curio perks are tweaked to taste, so I run what works for me. The below is what I consider almost mandatory for an Ogryn Build. Two-Three of the below perks spread across the three curios.- Sniper and Gunner Resistance should cover MOST of the enemy special shooting in the game. Gunner resistance greatly lessens the chip damage to your toughness, sniper resistance allow you to tank those sniper shots when reviving your fallen reject.- Toughness Regeneration Speed sits at 60%, which works well for an Ogryn. Also The blessings on the Krouk Mark IV Cleaver also allow you to refill your toughness meter pretty rapidly while you stick a large blade in a heretics face.
- Health, an extra 5% bumps the Health bonus from 21% to 26%. I like the look of that :) Conclusion:
Hopefully you find this small guide useful and enjoy the game that is Darktide. My builds tend to be written towards my own playstyle but maybe this wall of text gives a fellow player some guidance or food for thought.
