A 'maximum assail' build, meant to primarily use Assail while one can to drop the wave efficiently, while having the Voidstrike staff as a backup should the wave be to dense for all these assails to handle. Tends to be run like the Recon Lasgun variant but in reverse, run around using the Voidstrike staff primarily or until you see a big enough wave you feel you want to decimate. Then with 50+ Peril (or full 100 with scriers up), throw as many Assails as one wants, dumping empowerment and high cleave into them with Warp Splitting as they slice their way through the entire wave. Then go back to the Voidstrike staff, or swap to the Devil Sword if things are still getting on top of you and you need to Parry/shove them away and get some distance. This build is actually one of my favorites, I love Assails fantasy and am so happy that Warp Splitting 'gives them their power back' without making them feel unbalanced. It's this and the Infantry Autogun variant on Victor that are my 'pride and joys' so to speak, they are so fun and I always find myself coming back to them when I want a good time. Dropping entire gunner lines and just being able to throw shard after shard after shard just feels so good, and getting the occasional 7.5% proc chance feel just as fantastic. The fact the Devil Sword slots into this variant to is super nice as well. High stamina on it (for a Psyker), everything else is covered with Assail and the Voidstrike staff, so all you need is 'crap my peril is to high and scriers isn't quite up yet' panic button, and Devil Sword is *perfect* for that. Many a time I've found myself getting overwhelmed, but the Devil Swords Parry and a well placed climable object saved me and got me enough distance to start Assailing again. It's super nice, and the fact you take the attack speed so it's heavy attack string can juggle the wave is icing on the cake. It's a fantastic build, even with it being a little squishy without One with the Warp, and I strongly recommend it.
