A build crafted with the idea that 'you never take every single toughness pip on Psyker...what would a build look like if you did?'. Turns out...weird af XD but honestly? it's ok! Not the greatest thing in the world, you're basically a 'veteran with extra steps', running around with 250 toughness but none of the DR to make it matter, but still all of the CDR and regen from killing specials (thanks to the combo of Psykinetic's Aura + Warp Siphon). But, you can still make it work. I paired it with what I did weapon wise to make the fact I could take basically none of the initial talents not feel so bad. No warp kills to worry about losing out on, no heavy amounts of crits to take advantage of. Just some raw damage, a bubble, and a tazer in the way of your smite. Main point of the build is to quick cast smite repeatedly to keep your peril up while also knocking over the wave and enfeebling it, then mashing light attack with the chain axe until everything dies. Spam shields down whenever your able with all the increased CDR, gun down any specials using the Infantry Autogun I (used primarily for novelty, can use whatever gun one wants), and effectively be a 'melee Psyker' using blocks to fund more peril and reloads of your gun to do the same. It's decently tanky while allowed to be in it's element (as in be in your bubble), and it's funny seeing that much toughness on such a otherwise spindly class. A novelty build for sure, but one that's still rather supportive to the team, while still being effective in it's own right. Just remember to actually charge thrust, you got nothing giving you damage in this build outside of Enfeeble and Warp Rider sometimes, so you gotta get a stack or two of thrust or else you won't hit most breakpoints one might be otherwise used to. Beyond that, you're a 'veteran light', and can function pretty well as one.
