The first thought that crossed my mind when it came to a 'Greatsword build' when it was released, running around with maximum Scriers and just slashing everything to ribbons, with a Laspistol to give increased move speed and ability to easily proc Empathic Evasion at range while burning down flesh based targets. It still feels quite good, especially with the Scriers move speed on top of it all, and you can proc By Crack of Bone pretty effectively with the many horizontals within the Greatsword VIII's light attack moveset. Thus I've kept it around, though the greatsword has become a staple in a lot of my other builds due to how much Stamina it grants and just how good it is. But this is still the 'main' one for when I just want to use only it, and make it as potent as possible. One can swap perfect timing for Charged Strike to, and weave in Heavies into their combo ( L L H into L H gets you some nice diagonal heavies in there), but right now Charge Strike literally doesn't do anything...so I just use Perfect timing to make the wave that much more powerful. It + Malefic Malestrom can let you one shot waves with just one level of charge on the weapon too, or decimate even ragers with the fully charged version if you get lucky to have such a charge when they spawn, so it's a nice combo to have especially since the one 'weakness' of this build is once Scriers ends. As while Scrier's is active, you're a whirling malestrom of carnage, the moment it ends, you got the 10 seconds of extra damage to get back into a relatively safe spot, otherwise SOMething is going to destroy you while you wait the 15 to get back to killing everything again. That being the main reason I run smite as a panic button, being able to just spam L1 zaps forward for force pushes while keeping your peril high so One with the Warp keeps you relatively protected. As that's the one other 'issue', you are so good at keeping your peril down during Scriers you don't have many ways to keep your peril up once Scriers isn't doing it for you, so if things get dicey one can always pull out the Smite in a pinch and stun/shove the wave so you can get back to stabbing it. One's push attack is always available too, but it's good to have options, and not having to upgrade Smite since it's not the goal of the build is nice to save points for other areas. It can be a bit annoying to get used to as you're pretty 'out in the open', so it's VERY feast or famine with crits and such. But the Laspistol does WORK with all the added free crits, keeps your Scriers active with Tranquility so you can dump shots into Monstrosities until they die (or anything else including Ragers and Reapers, staying intangible the whole time), and then your sword headshots keep you from losing Scriers as well. Just be cognizant of when you pop it/make sure you do it at the dense part of each wave, dodge away when you need space as your sword reaches QUITE far forward, and you'll be golden. Slice, dice, and slash everything to pieces, with hot swap pistol for 'zoomies' and dealing with ranged.Nothing can escape Our Guiding Moonlight.
