Build Notes:
Karsolas kills the world, NO STOPPING ME! Makes your heavies mobile, its a very important pickup.
Pick statted for cleaving the world.
Chain heavies take care of most dense mixed elite situations. For Multiple Hounds specifically or other niche cases where you need extra crowd control with a followup attack your Push -> Light Attack (NOT PUSH ATTACK) is a speedy horizontal sweep. Ideal for Hunting Ground and similar situations)
Ideal Single Target: Push Attack -> Heavy -> Light
Karsolas is still one of the Ogryn's best melee options. It kills good. This build is particularly tooled toward using it for Heavies Re: No stopping me, but hey have fun.
GG Notes:
Melee damage should not be your primary goal, but when you do need to use it for some melee cleanup while picking off a special or two here are your bnbs:
L1 -> H1 -> Repeat. Note: This combo has some jank in it. After the heavy there's a window you need to wait for the animation to finish before hitting light and then buffering the next heavy. If you buffer too soon you'll stuff your light and go into the Strikedown Combo. Please practice this in the Meat Grinder.
ST No Ammo:
H1-> L1
ST Falcon Punch:
Weapon Special. This is your boss damage option in this build. Karsolas ST Is okay at it too but this is your preferred solution.
Okay now for the shooting part:
+25% unarmored is to hit the 1 shot breakpoint for Green Gas Bois, +25% Unyielding because this is the primary boss damage tool in this build.
Gloryhunter: I like it, its useful, Pinpoint is no longer needed to hit 1 tap thresholds for many specials and elites due to Fire Away nudging the damage that little bit further.
Shimpact: So this does a few things for the build. 1. Crushers. Shoot it once to knock it on its ass, apply burn, swap to melee and it'll die even faster to both the burn and the bleed than it would w/o shimpact. 2. Increases your boss damage on your DOT's an alright amount. Ask the math nerds but when it comes to application it has efficacy.
you can adjust this to whatever you like there's a few viable options. Maniac + Elite with Pinpoint is a great way to 1 shot MOST things but pinpoint feels clunky in this particular build.
Gauntlet tech: If you need to make space around you, or for an ally literally shoot at your feet or theirs. This is a powerful burst CROWD CONTROL tool that happens to do pretty nice damage. Swap (Q) quickly for a shot or two, swap back, charge some heavies, go wild. The world is your Rations.
