Ogryn
7.5-15% Weak Spot Damage. Weakspot Kills also ignore Enemy Hit Mass.
Target receives 1-4 Stack(s) of 10% Damage if already Staggered. Lasts 5s.
Hitting an enemy with the special attack gives them 10-16 stacks of 2.5% Brittleness. Debuff lasts for 5 seconds and can have a maximum of 16 stacks.
5-8% Strength for every 10% of magazine spent during continuous fire. Stacks 5 times.
-We start the tree by taking Steady Grip, Heavyweight, The Best Defense and Smash Em! These four perks form a quadfecta of a mix of defense/offense from Heavyweight and multiple avenues for toughness regeneration and is a staple in most builds.
-Next the Blitz we go with Big Friendly Rock the primary weapon we choose is the Ripper Gun Mk2 which range is very limited. We can make up for this by using are ability Indomitable and Rock to close the distance or kill pesky ranged enemies from afar. Rock is also a staple Maniac killer for an easy one shot. You can choose any of the blitz you like though so feel free to go with Frag Bomb or Box of Frags.
-Next we take Soften Them Up & Focused Fighter. Soften Them Up is great for the follow up strike from the power maul as the strike pattern is an over followed by an under strike down. We go Focused Fighter over Strongman due to the nature of this build requiring to be closer to enemies and increasing the likelihood of taking melee damage. But at the end of the day feel free to switch it for Strongman as it's a very solid perk.
-Now for are ability Indomitable & Pulverize I choose Pulverize over Trample because I believe Indomitable is a great repositioning tool and when we combine Pulverize with the talent Delight in Destruction which can give us a large damage resistance boost while there are enemies nearby bleeding. This combo's great with Stomping Boost which will refill are toughness dependent on who we hit with are ability and gives us a nice damage resistance boost to get us back in the fight fast. Indomitable also has a lighting fast recharge so be sure to utilize it often.
-Now are next 5 talents I'll start with Strike True increase weak spot damage is always good, but it also allows us to grab Batter which applies 2 stacks of bleed on melee hit and 4 stacks on heavy melee hits which is great for horde clearing and applying chip damage to enemies. Next, we take Beat Them Back we will be using are heavy attacks very often for horde clearing this is due to both are heavy attacks are sweeping moves that clear a wide range. Are next talent is Crunch! which can augment are horde clearing further when combined with the weapons blessing Brutal Momentum can result in big damage even if we miss the weak spot hits and can allow us to knock enemies over. This can result in enemies bleeding out before they can get back up from are Batter talent. Lastly, we take Bonebreaker's Aura for obvious reasons.
-Next we take Frenzied Blow for increase attack speed and the previously mentioned Delight in Destruction. We then take Implacable for extra defense while heavy attacking which we will be doing often since it's are horde clearing move. We follow up by taking No Stopping Me! which assures that we cannot be interrupted during are horde clearing swings while also making the weapon feel much smoother to use due to the no slowdown penalty.
-Then we go Heavy Hitter for more damage, Just Getting Started for more attack speed and lastly Unstoppable for even more toughness recovery! We take Bruiser because ability recharge is always great and 10% ranged damage for a ripper gun combo I'll explain in the next section/video.
-The Ripper Gun complements the Power Maul by picking up the slack with tankier enemies such as Maulers, Bulwarks, Armored Ragers and Crushers. With a full stack 8 stacks of Heavy Hitter which will be online very often allows the ripper gun to use its bayonet attack to apply the blessing Can Opener which results in a large amount of brittleness being applied to tanky enemies. Then after the bayonet strike following up with a 3-round burst of the Ripper Gun often resulting in instant death.
-The breakpoints are as followed and assume you have a full 8 stacks of Heavy Hitter! Maulers: 1 Bayonet followed by 1 Burst. Crushers: 1 Bayonet, 1 Burst followed by 1 more Bayonet (Note if the burst misses the head enough times it might take an extra Bayonet stab). Armored Rager: 1 Bayonet followed by 1 Burst. Lastly the Bulwark this is where the Power Maul comes in handy. By utilizing the Power Maul's special stun move it opens the Bulwark up for your Ripper Gun. Once he's open for your Ripper Gun hit him with the following: 1 Bayonet, 2 Bursts.
-The Ripper Gun is great for killing most other elite/special enemies at close range but are not noteworthy of their low health pool and normally dying in one shot up close. This concludes the Ripper Gun section.
- The Power Mauls main appeal is its ability to stun enemies which as mentioned in the Ripper Gun section is great for opening up Bulwarks and stunning/knocking down other enemies. I won't say its stun effect is 100% always useful but it is worth utilizing fairly often for the knockdown/power increase.
-The breakpoints are as followed and assume you have full 8 stacks of Heavy Hitter & you are block canceling after the first two strikes, so you do the overhead & underhand swings for increase damage. I will go over a larger pool of elites/specialist with this then the Ripper Gun. Starting with Unarmored Gunners: 2 swings (Bleed Out). Armored Gunners: 2 Swings Or 1 power swing. Maulers: 2 power swings (If you hit him in the head twice, he will bleed out this is hard to pull off as he will fall to the floor making the 2nd power swing tougher to land) Or 5 swings with block cancels every 2 swings. Crushers: 3 power swings Or 8 swings with block cancels (Don't even try this method to long). Bulwarks: Please refer to the Ripper Gun section to handle these guys as its the fastest and most viable way to deal with them. Reapers: 2 power swings Or 6 swings (Don't do this to long). Snipers: 1 power swing Or 1 regular swings (Bleed Out) Trapper: 2 regulars swings Or 1 power swing. Mutant: 1 power swing followed by a regular Or 3 regular swings. Rager: 3 regular swings OR 1 power swing followed by 1 regular (Bleed Out) Armored Rager: Same as regular Ragers but the third strike will flat out kill them. Lastly both Shotgunners take 2 regular swings Or 1 power swing!
-Last but not least the following elites/specialists die in 1 strike to the weak spot with the same parameters as before (8 stacks of Heavy Hitter) Pox Hound, Scab Flamer, Dreg Tox Flamer, Scab Bomber and Dreg Tox Bomber.
-Final section is on horde clearing to keep it simple only use the heavy swings for horde clearing it's a very simple and beginner friendly and combos well with Brutal Momentum, Implacable, No Stopping Me, Beat Them Back and lastly Crunch! I will not be going over breakpoints for trash mobs as they are trash mobs they will fall quite easily to the Power Maul just give it a shot!
