Crowd management with the best buddy.

A mobile and aggressive tanking build designed to be in the thick of the action knocking spiky men over from start to extract. Charge happily into elite groups, keep them disabled and away from your team, you have multiple options to do so between your weapons and abilities. The shield and dog allow easy and safe engagement of ranged enemies, here No Escape and Not Far Behind help in closing the gap quickly while blocking their shots. The shotgun provides a quick answer to specials and annoying ranged elites, or you can just dump on a horde blob to quickly remove them from existance.

Control (constant loop of heavy stagger)

  • Branx Mk VI Shock Maul and Suppression Shield combines excellent stagger with good all around damage and excellent protection.
    • Out of the shields the Mk VI has the better single target damage move set (L1-H2-L3-L4), while retaining good horde clear with H1-L2 loop.
    • Special attack is a nice additional area stagger and suppression.
    • Moving towards shooter enemies while blocking shots automatically triggers your dog to attack them. Also good to manually command the dog while being safe.
  • Break the Line sits down everything and is constantly available with improved cooldown from Malocator 
  • Execution Order keeps specialists in check as they are easy to pick off from distance and quickly dispatches elites.
  • Unleashed Brutality keeps dog close by to tackle ragers and ogryns with Voltaic Mandibles Augment and elite packs with Remote Detonation .

Dog

  • The dog's potential to stagger annoying enemies is often overlooked. By disabling key elites you keep the situation safer and can also kill them a lot faster. Having such a remote disabler constantly available, even automatic, is an excellent tool for a tank.
  • Dog is kept close to you with Unleashed Brutality , so it helps finish off the elites you are tanking. This also provides high Man and Cyber-Mastiff uptime and easy access to Remote Detonation without needing to wait for it to reposition.
  • Razor-Jaw Augment , Voltaic Mandibles Augment and Execution Order makes the dog effective killing machine, providing ~20% of your damage and kills. The bleed and electrocution are important for the dogs efficiency so it quickly dispatches it's prey and moves on to next one. With the aggressive tank playstyle, you should have a execution order up all the time when in combat.
