Description
Credit to Tanner Lindberg (not the build name though, that's mine!)
Most of the setup here is fairly rigid, especially for Havoc (which is what this build is intended for use in) but I'll note some points of flexibility before talking about the intended playstyle:
-grenades can be swapped out depending on what your team has. I like Shredder Frag Grenades for their horde-clear, stagger, and DoT; but thanks to the recent updates to Krak Grenades, these are also viable if your team lacks boss damage. If you're running Kraks, you're not really tied to use the Maccabian Mk IV Duelling Sword either - I'd strongly recommend the Achlys Mk VI Power Sword in its absence. Smoke Grenades are also viable if your team composition lacks anti-Gunner devices such as Telekine Dome.
-If using the Duelling Sword, you can swap out Thrust for Agile for practically unlimited dodges. I don't think I would use this in Havoc as the extra damage from Thrust helps clean up armour significantly faster, but if you're an Auric player, give this a try.
-Revive Speed has become the definitive meta choice for your third Curio perk due to it actually affecting all forms of assistance, not just reviving - but I still think Stamina Regeneration is a solid alternative choice, especially if your team isn't getting incapacitated often.
Now that that's all been talked about, let's go over how to play the Sweateran: contrary to common belief, your strongest power output is your melee. Thanks to a combination of the Critical Chance perk on your Duelling Sword and the talent nodes Reciprocity and Desperado, your melee Critical Chance is a whopping 50% in combat. Your M35 Magnacore Mk II Plasma Gun is for Specialist/Elite killing at range, and for bosses. A core component in this playstyle is utilizing both Weapons Specialist and Always Prepared to quickswap between melee and ranged to both capitalize on the guaranteed Critical hits from getting melee kills, and to bypass reloading. In the event that you do need to reload your Plasma Gun, you can bypass the long animation by quickswapping to and from melee at the three checkpoints (pulling the plug, reinserting the plug, and the top plug screwing down) during reloading to save precious time.
Lastly, you should be spamming your grenades as much as humanly possible: thanks to both Krak and Frag Grenades now having three charges, you can throw two grenades at the start of combat to start the timer for Demolition Stockpile and have an opening for Demolition Team, while still having a third grenade available for emergencies.
Anyway, I think that about covers it! Feel free to reach out with questions in our Discord server - enjoy!
