Synopsis:

In the smoke-choked dark of Tertium, the Serra Catenata Zealots and their Eviscerators are not two separate things - they are a holy sanction against the heretic. Remade through  a screaming altar of teeth and faith that demands blood with every exhale, they are two roaring parts of one engine- yearning for fervent retribution.

In battle, the Perfect Strike is not performed; it is shared. The Zealot guides the Eviscerator, and the Eviscerator guides him, soaring his body into the righteous arc of each swing, carving through Maniacs and Carapace as though the blade knows their sins by heart. Its roaring teeth are his scripture. Its recoil is his catechism. Every critical burst from its blood-caked chain links feels less like chance and more like a whispered command.

Amid the tide of pox-flesh, renegades, and choking filth, he does not fight with the Eviscerator: he fights as it. Each strike is a hymn. Each rev is a vow. And in the grim dark where loyalty is measured in violence, their partnership becomes a single, unbroken truth:

The Zealot brings the faith.
The Eviscerator brings the verdict.

Breakdown of Curios:

- We run 2 +1 Wound Curious to get the maximum benefit out of Martyrdom at max difficulties

- I heavily recommend running a +16%-17% Toughness Curio in the final slot, as Toughness is King on Zealot and will help give you sustain

Breakdown of Weapons:

- Tigrus Mk XV Heavy Eviscerator With the updates to chain weapons, this weapon actually puts in a surprising amount of damage, while also being incredibly versatile. We focus on perks that amplify the Crits from the weapon to start spiraling great buffs and damage onto Elites, Bosses and Hordes alike, all with this one weapon.

  • 25% Damage to Carapace and 25% Damage to Maniacs gives us higher damage output from the Eviscerator into heavily armored targets and Maniacs, which help us OHK those targets once we get going. While it may seem tempting to try and spec into full on boss damage with the weapon, we get more value out of reaching these breakpoints to help us clear faster, as opposed to getting a littler faster TTK on boss damage.
  • Perfect Strike is the perfect Blessing for this weapon, giving us increased Crit damage, while also giving us full armor ignoring which helps us cleave through those more armored crowds.
  • Rampage can be swapped out for something like Wrath if you find the weapon doesn't do enough cleave on higher difficulty Havocs.

- Accatran MG Mk II Heavy Laspistol: I love this weapon - able to zip around the battlefield quickly, and also with the Blessings we take we can go completely unfazed by gunfire, while also setting some of our targets ablaze before we reach melee distance.

  • 1-2 Stamina is great for using this weapon to run around. I swap to this weapon while traversing and not in melee combat to quickly move around, and this lets you move around more.
  • 25% Damage on Flak is nice, as we definitely aren't using this for Carapace enemies. If you really want to commit to running, you can take 20% Sprint Efficiency instead.
  • Infernus is an amazing way to cheaply give DOT to enemies - the DOT from Infernus also scales with anything that says it effects just Damage will effect the burn DOT as well. Talents like Against the Odds will increase not only the Laspistols damage, but also the burn DOT.
  • Ghost I love using this perk - if I start getting shot without expecting it, I will quickly dodge to trigger the DR from Good Balance, swap to the Laspistol, then start shooting for weakspots in order to become intangible to all ranged gunfire.
  •

Breakdown of build path:

Your Choice of Point:

- Thy Wrath be Swift Unfaltering I Shall Not Fall Prime Target : I bounce this point between these four perks:

  • Thy Wrath be Swift & Unfaltering are good for helping you get your slow heavy attacks out, and also make sure they land. If you don't find it difficult to use the Eviscerator or land it's attacks, feel free to put this point elsewhere.
  • I Shall Not Fall is an amazing sustain Talent, I would take this if you don't take the first two talents.
  • Prime Target Is alright, gives a little sustain and a +10% damage bonus on killing an Elite.

Rest of the Tree:

- Disdain: Meta on every build, always take

- Second Wind: You are always dodging, giving you constant 15% toughness regen,  always take on every build

- Duellist: Same as Second Wind, you're always dodging, 50% finesse buff will always be up, always take on every build

- Purge the Unclean: 20% extra damage into Bosses and Elites (like Crushers and Bulwarks) is important for helping break through Auric and higher.

-  Immolation Grenade (Blitz): Bring whatever you'd like here, I personally just wanted to use the grenade I hadn't really used that much. Good deterrent for getting dogged if you get caught out, as they will immediately jump off from the damage of the fire DOT.

- Sustained Assault: Is always up during hordes, 20% extra melee damage is very nice and it's only 1 point from first node, always take on every build

- Desperation: We will be consuming stamina running and push attacking, giving us another 20% bonus. I usually take this on every build

- Faithful Frenzy: Optional node, however 10% extra attack speed is nice and lets you go Benediction instead of Beacon of Purity for Aura.

- Against the Odds: Increased 50% cleave and an extra 10% melee damage is very nice while surrounded, which is usually when you'd want those bonuses. I take this on most builds.

- Providence : I find this node to be an alright passive support node, however it feeds into 2 of the stronger nodes in the tree (Abolish Blasphemers and Good Balance ) AND it's the only way you get to the Beacon of Purity Aura, so I usually take it on my builds.

- Thy Wrath be Swift: I recommend taking this or Unfaltering to help ensure your slow Heavy attacks go off, and that they land when they do.

- Good Balance : This node gives you a constant 20% DR buff, always take on every build (if you can)

- Abolish Blasphemers: This node is great for helping into Elites, which you really want extra damage for

- Benediction (Aura): I find most Zealots bring the Benediction Aura, because it's awesome, but it does not stack. If another Zealot on your team is bringing this, bring Beacon of Purity instead, as cleansing Corruption is great on higher difficulties.

- Fury of the Faithful (Ability): FOTF gives our next attack insane bonuses, and allows us to charge while also using the Eviscerator's special, so by stacking this and our other buffs we are able to One Shot full health Elites, Specialists, and reposition around the battlefield quickly. Used alongside Martyrdom  at max stacks and other Talents we can eek out enough damage to kill larger mobs on Auric in one hit. If you use more damage buffs stacked as well you can clear even higher.

  • I only take Redoubled Zeal as having 2 charges is nice, and we proc enough crits for Invocation of Death to always be up, meaning we are only 15 seconds away from the next charge if needed.

- Scourge : Gives an amazing +30% Crit chance to both the Eviscerator and Laspistol, which helps feed into our next 3 Talents very well.

- Blinded by Blood: Since we're bleeding everything with Scourge already, we might as well get a free +15% damage bonus on them (applies to grenades, Laspistol and DOT)

- Invocation of Death: We will pretty much always be getting Crits, meaning we will always be sitting at 100% Ability CD for our Fury of the Faithful

- Enduring Faith: Again, since we will always be getting Crits, we will pretty much constantly also be having a 40% Damage Resistance buff going at all at times too, which is nuts!

- Punish Impiety: Eviscerator is pretty slow, so getting +10% extra attack speed, especially off the great and fast push attack on the MK XV, is welcome.

- Martyrdom: Up to +50% Melee Damage is perfect for helping us push the Eviscerator further into becoming the carry monster of the team.

  • Maniac helps us push the Eviscerator into becoming even faster, allowing us to get more DPS out. I take this in place of I Shall Not Fall, but if you find you go down too often, feel free to take from Maniac or Thy Wrath be Swift for the point.
