Hello! And welcome to my tank build.
Just a heads up to this build, I am unfortunately a console player so theres nothing too technical about the explanation for this build. It just works pretty well for me in high havocs 30+ because its fairly mechanically simple to use and provides great support for the team.
You can make this build with the nuke grenade (for clutching dh ritual sites) but I prefer the rock for mutants and monstrosity stagger because honestly, mutants are this build biggest weakness and the mighty rock fixes them up quickly!
Basically you want to be protecting your team from most melee hordes and some ranged (blocking bullets with slab makes some ranged enemies turn to melee from the attention seeker passive) which can be incredibly helpful if you are being pinged by shooters and you dont have smokes or a bubble in your squad.
Attack pattern for special clearing I do the shield bash attack + heavy and repeat! This simple pattern will keep 80% of enemies in their place for your team to light up, poke eyes and blow up. (If you really get in a pickle, large crusher walls for example just use your shield stance + taunt, allow your team to cook them up while they knock on your indestructible sheild, your "no push over" passive will allow you to escape and move out from being cornered while in your defensive stance. I do not often use this but it does come in clutch for the ridiculous elite hordes that have cc immunity. For general horde clearing you shield bash and follow the 2 heavy attacks and repeat, this regenerates your toughness insanely quickly and keeps hordes piling to you for your teammates to deal even more AOE damage.
Another weakness this class has is obviously manoeuvrability and i feel that "no stopping me" and "get stuck in" passive really does help with repositioning/keeping up with your squad/ or leading the charge into hordes.
I have not taken ability cooldown on any curos because the refresh rate is amazing as it is with the ability modifier "go again", pushing enemies with your shield recharges your ability. With revive speed and toughness you will be picking up your friends even if you have the twins both targeting you.
Remember this is a build for being able to take a beating from the toughest things darktide offers and help your more dps focused friends do their job.
