Changes from Bound by Duty 2.0

  • Power Sword
    • Perk changed from Unyielding to Elites (more damage to crushers, kraks help handle bosses)
    • Blessing changed from Sunder to Slaughterer (better damage output)
  • Talent Point moved
    • Focused Fire replaced with +25 Toughness Node (better toughness share on Born Leader / interactions with Shout. Makes you nearly invincible with average skilled play)

The Last Talent Point

There are no talent point changes I would humor or recommend with one exception - Skirmisher . I am not convinced Skirmisher is strictly the best choice for the final talent point. Runs typically fail in stand and fight scenarios. During these times, Skirmisher is often at its weakest or dangerous to upkeep. The contenders to replace Skirmisher (most likely to least likely):

  • Focused Fire Moderate gain to boss damage (10% at max stacks) and a minor increase to rolling Redirect Fire! (additional 5% at max stacks). Our boss killing power is already quite high with Kraks but this would help with captains and twins - something to consider
  • Leave No One Behind A heavy investment for the few edge cases where this meaningfully changes the outcome of a run; an ally netted in flames, a revive you marginally would have failed, or an ally ledged. It is impossible to put a value on this talent but it can significantly alter the outcome of a match
  • Covering Fire .....? unlikely to be the actual best pick but fun to humor. In scenarios where your team was tightly grouped, quickly tapping a chaff enemy could considerably buff damage for a short window. However, it wouldn't contribute much in rotten armor pack situations or multi-boss situations where other enemies are few and the team is split. Unlikely to be the best choice
