Here is my default H40 Zealot build. You will be an Elite, Special and boss killing powerhouse using the Duelling Sword, Flamer, and Martyrdom.
In addition, you will be able to revive and rescue teammates just as if you're running Chorus without the Chorus.

- Uncanny Strike, Thrust
RANGE
Purgation Flamer
- Unyielding, (Maniac or Carapace)

- +1 Wound - Revive, Toughness, Stamina
- +1 Wound - Revive, Toughness, Gunner
- +17% Toughness - Toughness, Gunner, Stamina
- The combination of Enemies Within, Enemies Without, plus 3x5% Toughness Curios basically gives you two +17% toughness curios
- Restorative Verses, Faith's Fortitude and the 2 Wounds allow you max out Martyrdom stacks granting all the Damage Reduction, Attack Speed and Damage
- You will be very tanky, and very clutch.
H40 TIPS
A few tips when playing the character
- Martyrdom Stacking
- Ideally, you obtain all Martyrdom stacks without corruption. This will be done via hitting barrels ASAP.
- Hit a barrel, stand in fire, or get exploded into the air to take damage to start getting stacks up.
- Ideally, you obtain all Martyrdom stacks without corruption. This will be done via hitting barrels ASAP.
- Fury of the Faithful (FotF)
- Reserve specifically for killing Elites, or see next.
- Frontlining & Pushing Gunner Lines
- Sprint+sliding+attacking will be the name of the game to close distance.
- IF you start taking damage > FotF
- Duelling, Flame, and Knife Dance
- These 3 weapons have an interrelationship and cadence that you will routinely exploit
- Duelling - Heavy Thrusting & Movement/Creating Distance
- Flamer - Great AoE & CC
- Knives - Special/Disabler killer, and Insurance while flaming
- Cadence
- Once Rotten Armour/Carpace Horde spawns
- Pull out Flamer and start flaming(Use Blade exploit while drawing if you have to)
- Knife any Special/Disabler in the face while wielding Flamer and dodge melee attacks
- Flaming
- Abolish Blasphemers will be up. Unseen Blade, and Anoint in Blood will proc when not being targeted, but still being close.
- If Anoint in Blood is up, then most likely so is Enemies Within, and Enemies Without
- Abolish Blasphemers will be up. Unseen Blade, and Anoint in Blood will proc when not being targeted, but still being close.
- Once armor is softened up > Then start Thrusting with DS4
- You will always be able to replenish all of your knives this way
- Only use FotF to kill immediate threats
- If overwhelmed > Use DS4+sprint+slide+attack mechanics to create distance > reload Flamer
- Repeat
- Pull out Flamer and start flaming(Use Blade exploit while drawing if you have to)
- Once Rotten Armour/Carpace Horde spawns
- These 3 weapons have an interrelationship and cadence that you will routinely exploit
- Boss Fights
- As Zealot, you will be able to solo any boss in the game. Sure Nurgles will be annoying but you have dodges, heavy attacks, parries, and any corruption will be cleansed away via Beacon of Purity.
- If any Special shows up, peel away and knife them. And go back to the boss.
- Try to prioritize combining the following for maximum damage
- 3 stacks of Thrust, Backstabbing (Unseen Blade & Backstabber buffs), Weakspot, and FotF
- This gives you a makeshift Shroudfield-esque backstab
- 3 stacks of Thrust, Backstabbing (Unseen Blade & Backstabber buffs), Weakspot, and FotF
- For Captains/Twins, knock them down, then try getting the perfect combo
- Nurgles, just go for the perfect combo
- All other Monstrosities just prioritizing fighting normal as going for the perfect combo can feel very clunky
- As Zealot, you will be able to solo any boss in the game. Sure Nurgles will be annoying but you have dodges, heavy attacks, parries, and any corruption will be cleansed away via Beacon of Purity.
- Clutch Revives
- With 45% Revive Speed, you are the uber-clutch revive class in the game.
- As noted in several of my builds - Even though I present many as damage dealer builds, I pride myself (as should you) on being a good teammate.
- 4 Revives & 3 Rescues and still hitting ~2M damage.
- If you are downed you can just revive people in front of several enemies
If timed right, you can revive while a Crusher or Boss approaches, winds up, finish the revive and dodge away.
- 4 Revives & 3 Rescues and still hitting ~2M damage.
