It's a bit off-meta because the crowbar isn't the OP weapon the shivs are, and can't take up critical chance without dropping a lot. Crowbar needs a lot of help from the passive tree because it isn't blessed with amazing damage stats, but passable stats.
Play like them in the video linked above, a lot of heavy swings, but turn the crowbar around to use the special attack against crushers and maulers.
Duel stub pistols have anti-specialist and maniac damage on them to allow speedy killing of mutants, trappers, flamers and bombers. Try to conserve ammo on other targets. Terrifying Barrage was chosen as a blessing over Run and Gun of other guides because when I'm firing I'm normally trying to pick out a special, and need cover, not trying to run away.
In terms of the Stimm Lab, I went with 3 damage reduction instead of ability cooldown shown in the video plus 2 strength nodes. This cooldown is at 33 seconds because aided by Sample Collector it can be popped willy nilly and well ahead of Chemical Dependency stacks falling off.
Jittery is a node not taken by many builds, but it suits this build well because you can dodge between all heavy attacks if you wish without losing a bar.
Deviation from this would be to try to synergize off crits with toxins. The Sweet Spot for more damage sounds nice, but it's 25% of bonus damage from weakspot hit, not overall damage to the weakspot, so it sucks.
