Description
Is this a meta build? No. Does it work for havoc 40? Yes.
Weapons
- Knife: You can play with the shield or the mace if you want, but the knife is just way more fun. You have good mobility which allows you to dodge everything and the fast attack speed paired with Frenzied Blows, Smash 'Em!, The Best Defence and Confident Strike gives you crazy toughness regen. The knife is a really good weapon overall but struggles a lot against carapace. If the havoc modifiers allow it (no pink, final toll or cranium) you can use the special attack to stunlock enemies, including crushers.
- Rumbler: rumbler is just insane. Back Off! makes you way less ammo dependant. Try to always have some stacks before shooting so you can have infinite ammo. You should mainly use the rumbler to snipe ranged enemies if needed, to kill reapers and deal with groups of ragers or crushers, or to safely kill bosses (it also staggers daemonhosts).
- Blitz: rocks are good but frag bomb allows you to escape sticky situations or easily deal with hexbound daemonhosts.
Curios:
- 2 tougness and 1 health is the best imo, stamina is not needed, 3 tougness works aswell but 1 health curio gives a lot of health.
- For substats, revive speed, toughness and gunner resistance (x2) are always good, you could also swap the tougness or revive speed for cooldown reduction.
Tips:
- Taunt on cooldown and run around. The knife doesn't allow you to just facetank everything (especially crushers, maulers or ragers) so you need to be mobile and kite enemies when needed or use the rumbler to deal with tough enemies.
- You have damage reduction when dodging so spam it.
- Get Stuck In gives stun immunity and movement speed, it's very good for running away or running into ranged enemies for example.
- Maximum Firepower gives cooldown reduction, so try to use it as much as possible but only after you've used your taunt.
- For hordes, spam push attack into heavy attack, for armored enemies you can either spam light attacks, or chain 1 heavy into 1 light, or chain special attack (punch) into 2 light attacks.
- Your taunt gives a lot of tougness regen through No Pain!, staggers enemies (can help teammates grabbed by mutants or chaos spawn), and cancels trappers' nets (if you taunt while the net is midair it'll disappear).
- The build needs some time to get used to, you're not really a frontline, you just taunt everything and kite/use your rumbler if melee is too dangerous.
