"In life, war. In death, peace. In life, shame. In death, atonement."

Trinkets have been left blank. Bring what you will.

Pros: Hordeclear on par with Bull Butcher Ogryn. High movement. High Survivability due to high Charge uptimes, and toughness damage mitigation. High effectiveness against most specials.

Cons: Low (but serviceable) anti-carapace damage and monster damage.

The basic strategy: Charge like the Korpsman you are, and wreak havoc. Because of the high uptimes on Blazing Piety, our crit chance combined with Shred and the Eviscerator buffs, make us a force to be reckoned with.

Focus on hordes and packs of ragers/shotgunners/gunners and so on over enemy Ogryn. It's what you're best at, and combined with any veteran with Krak grenades you should be fine. If you have to engaged mixed Ogryn hordes, your grenades can stun them so your team mates can mop them up. If you cant kill it, your goal should be to keep it occupied so the squad can deal with it.

Against monsters: Either stand back and blast or duel it so your team mates can get a decent shot. You don't have high monster damage with the Tigrus, but it'll do in a pinch.

General tips:

  • Remember your charge can both stagger specials (Including staggering Ragers out of their combo's and stopping Crushers) and gives your autogun armor piercing. Use charges offensively.
  • While death offers attonement, try not to run off too much. Your piety has a range of 25 meters. You don't need to go running off after every poxwalker, tempting as it is.
  • Every crit gives back Ability cooldown, equal to every enemy hit with the crit. Meaning, the more enemies you hit with the crit, the more you get back. This means you have a higher uptime on charge then other classes. Make use of it when you have it, but don't get comfortable.
  • Don't underestimate the autogun. The new attackspeed buff on charge applies to it, meaning it can pump out damage at an impressive rate. And the suppression can give valuable disruption for your team-mates.
  • A slight variation of this build can drop Thy Wrath Be Swift in favor of Anoint In Blood, Emperors Bullet, and Shield of Contempt, all in the middle tree. Use if confident in your abilities in your squad, but I find Thy Wrath Be Swift to be more valuable in sticky situations.
