All in the name, really. I usually stay at one wound the whole mission and play around Until Death, hence the difficulty being marked for Damnation. Single-target with the Crucis Mk II Thunder Hammer is simply Special Activation > block cancel (if you're feeling fancy) > Heavy attack. It's all about knowing A) when the Special is even needed and B) how many Thrust stacks you need. A quick Light attack overhead can cave in most human-sized Elite/Specialist heads in one go. For larger groups, just spam Heavy attacks with a Push attack mixed in occasionally.

The Artemia Mk III Purgation Flamer is all about knowing when to just mag-dump it into a crowd, best for hordes with Elites mixed in. It can be important to animation cancel the reload in two places; sprint (or swap weapons or throw a knife) as soon as the tank is out, then again when your character screws it in slightly. The timing for the second one is as soon as the ammo in the mag goes back up. It is also important to note that the Artemia Mk III Purgation Flamer will apply burn stacks to Bulwark through their shield.
