Some people run executor on the combat blade for mobility builds.. I'll explain why that's bad.. A) you should never be relying on combat blade damage.. B) combat blade on psyker should ALWAYS have uncanny.. the blade is purely a mobilty/debuff tool.. it's debuffing crushers while you combo cast them down.. and C) if you're in melee long enough to max out executor.. you're just straight up playing the class wrong lol.. and D) riposte is INSANELY consistent and will net and overall higher damage situationally when melee is needed as a fall back to create space or reposition.. the real advantage here with riposte is that combined with the combat blades inherently high crit.. this puts you at about 55% when riposte happens(which is all the time sustained).. which means when you are forced into melee you can maintain ranged immunity very easily.. which means in these situations shooter squads won't just melt you in a clutch.. okay now on to the build playstyle itself..

THIS build is basically a plague based premium range picking setup.. A lot of people would see this build and think, "you should run ethereal shards to max out wildfire/perilous queuing." .. that's not what this build is doing.. you are cross combo casting shards at the end of your combo cast rotation to HEAVILY augment your range picking.. EVEN one point in assail with no empowered psionics(EP) does this EXCEPTIONALLY WELL.. but to run EP PLUS quick shards(QS) with plague is PREMIUM range picking that also includes enough wildfire/perilous queuing to get the job done.. in this build you don't need Psychinetics Grip(PG) with Penetration of the Soul(PotS) because scrier's gaze gives you VERY HIGH break points here.. you will still get perilous/wildfire queuing to the max core. lol

Flak is the breakpoint on the staff because we're not using it to drop crushers here.. that's not your job.. but with combat blade having both monst/ogryn break points.. between debuff and a couple 50% combo casts.. you will still truck crusher spam and you can still kill monsters well enough with warpfire stacking + push poke spam on the blade.
